A Brief History of the Chicken
Even from the humble beginnings on Morrison Drive, we have strived to deliver quality, fresh food, that is a little different from the rest. We were optimistic about the future, probably naive, but blindly pushed forward to make our dream work. Against most odds and the opinions of everyone except our parents, we managed to survive those first years. Only the greater powers that be know how because we had no idea what we were doing. Along came David Miller, who partnered up with us shortly after we opened our second location on James Island. Finally, with much guidance and knowledge that David brought, we were on the right track.
We want to thank all the great people we have working with us, those who have been with us in the past and our customers, because face it, without y'all, none of this is possible. We will continue to do our best to make sure you have an excellent experience. As different as three people can be, we all have the same goal, to take care of our customers, our employees, and to positively impact our community.
Thanks for your support.
We hope to see you back soon.

Community
We understand that with out you, our customers, we wouldn't be as successful as we are, and because of that, we enjoy in giving back to the community. We help as many organizations as we can with various ways of giving. The values of commitment to the community at The Kickin' Chicken extends to those who are less fortunate. The founders are involved in projects that will hopefully makea difference in the lives of those who are in need.
The James Island Outreach
This support extends to The James Island Outreach, a food & financial assistance outreach that provides counseling for those who are in crisis & extreme financial need. Additionally, it provides support for inner-city programs that uses sports as a mechanism for personal responsibility. The common belief of the founders in the programs it supports is to assist financially but additionally takea personal role insuring that lives may somehow be enriched as a result of our blessings.
Camp Happy Days
Camp Happy Days is a SC state wide organization based out of Charleston that helps those children with cancer. With various programs for their kids throughout the year, their main program is Camp itself. One week every July where the sick kids and their siblings get to be a "real kid" again. With over 170 in attendance annually, Kickin Chicken raises money, donations, supplies and support to send these amazing kids to a camp for one week where they don't have to worry about being sick, being looked at funny, and for their families, a week of rest, knowing their children are taken care of and having the time of their lives. http://www.camphappydays.com/
Charleston & Summerville Miracle League
Charleston & Summerville Miracle League has been a part of Kickin Chicken for the past several years. We have been involved with this wonderful organization. What Miracle League does is provide the opportunity for every child, no matter what their disability, the opportunity to play the great American game of baseball. We are actively involved in both local groups, The Charleston Miracle League & The Summerville Miracle League. It is great to see those smiling faces participate in an activity they normally wouldn't be able to. We are proud to be associated with such a worthy cause and each and every one of those children have a special place in our hearts. http://www.miracleleague.com/
